Reader's Guide
In the narrative of The Chronicles of Narnia, the rings were eventually locked away in a box within Digory Kirke's attic after he returned from the creation of Narnia. He recognized that such power was too great for ordinary humans and likely too tempting for those with selfish motives like his uncle. While they are not seen again in later books, their existence explains how the Pevensie children eventually arrived in Narnia through a different method (the wardrobe), as the rings were no longer available to facilitate travel.
